‘Poppy Pines’ is a new original painting part of the ‘Spring Evergreens’ collection!

Take a walk in the woods with this colorful landscape including thick, rich texture of acrylic paint featured on a beautiful slice of basswood from northern Wisconsin. This piece was painted in watercolor, and I love getting back to my roots lately playing with watercolor. It looks stunning on this basswood plank. I asked the carpenters to give me some pieces of wood that had a lot of unique knots, and this one is fitting the bill! I always consider the knots and unique characteristics on the canvas I am painting on, this large knot down the middle lended beautifully to creating this piece!
