It’s been an amazing month at Ricklundgården in Sweden.
Our last night at the boathouse outside our cabin in Ricklundgården on the beautiful lake.
I’ve felt much creative energy throughout the month and had a beautiful space to finish my paintings for illustrations for my children’s book.
And look at the view to paint from in our lodge the last night of residency!
Speaking of painting, many of you have heard I’ve finished my book and it’s already been sent to print and published!
The final product looks so wonderful and I’m pleased with the outcome of this hardcover children’s book!
I’ve already had family enjoy the final product with my nieces, favorited are the owls, ravens, and lynx!
It’s been a wonderful lady few days enjoying the fruits of our labor.
We have been hiking in the nature preserve that affords beautiful views of Saxnäs!
Lots of boat rides on our lake.
The grilling area next next to the lake has been so relaxing with much stone throwing.
My favorite thing was going to the ‘American’ section of the store in Sweden to find marshmallows, check out these instructions on how to cook a marshmallow!
We also enjoyed time with our studio mates next door!
!
Kristine is a musician, she’s producing an album of Swedish music while she is here. She also sings Estonian, Celtic, Baltic and African music! David is a chef so we enjoyed his culinary delights over fire!
We also enjoyed a final row on our beautiful lake one last time.
We sure are are going to miss this beautiful cabin.
